Sensemanufacture is an independent creative studio run by Marijana Jericevic in Mellionnec, Brittany.

Our story reaches back to the 2000s, when our work in Croatia already moved between different worlds: multimedia and website creation, filming and editing, photography, running a small family agricultural business, welcoming people to stay and share everyday life with us, project development and implementation, permaculture and ecovillages, artistic projects, artist management, marketing and design.

After moving to Brittany, that mix of activities continued to evolve. We now manage our own gîte here and a summer house rental in Croatia, sharing beauty and conversations with the people who visit us. We like to believe that, through the small details of a stay, visitors may take with them a grain of possibility — something that can offer a little support, inspiration or openness in their own lives.

At the same time, we have continued an active artistic and creative practice.

Living and working inside these small independent projects has taught us as much as any professional assignment could: how to build something with limited resources, how to solve practical problems, how to communicate what matters, and how to keep going when things do not happen according to plan.

We have been through highs and lows, but creativity has always remained at the centre of our lives.

Alongside our professional work, we have long been involved in activism and in projects that, in our view, help lay the foundations for positive social and environmental change.

Sensemanufacture grows naturally out of that experience.

We want to use what we have learned — about websites, photography, video, communication and independent projects — to help make good work more visible.

We are particularly drawn to creators, producers and initiatives that care deeply about what they do and that, in their own way, try to leave the world to future generations a little better than they found it.
